Hi there!

My name is Joy, and I’m a passionate tutor currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science / Doctor of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame. I graduated from All Saints Anglican School in 2024, where I served as both Music Captain and House Vice-Captain.

During senior school, I knew I didn’t want to be someone who spent all day behind a computer, so I pushed myself to stay active and involved. Through my participation in four musical ensembles, three sports teams, the Duke of Edinburgh program, and various volunteering roles, I discovered a genuine love for tutoring and mentoring younger students.

Over the past two years, I’ve prioritised getting to know my students and tailoring each lesson to help them reach their goals. As a recent graduate, I not only bring a strong understanding of the QCE syllabus but also firsthand experience in approaching assessment effectively—I achieved perfect internal marks across my top five subjects.

I specialise in tutoring Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematical Methods, and I’m also happy to work with younger students in primary school and Years 7–10 across maths and science subjects.

I’ve also achieved High Distinctions in several national academic competitions, including:

• ICAS Science and Maths Exams

Outside of academics, you’ll usually find me at the gym, shooting hoops on the basketball court, or jamming with friends on the clarinet or violin.

My lesson times are flexible, and I offer online sessions ranging from 1 to 2 hours.
